Details
There are so many things actors have to pay for: from tracks, to accompaniment, transpositions, coachings, headshots, and more.
But if performers know how to use the software programs Sibelius (the most commonly-used music notation software) and GarageBand (which comes for free with every Apple computer), they can become more autonomous self-tapers at home.
Sign up to learn to transpose your own sheet music, input lyrics and music via midi keyboard, and review microphone options, learn mic technique, basic EQing, how "punch-in" a new take, plus crossfades in this class on Sibelius and GarageBand.
Your teaches are Sibelius-whiz and music director Jacklyn Riha (Ars Nova, Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, and THE HELLO GIRLS) andr recording engineer & critically acclaimed producer James Rushin (Currently making his Broadway debut on keyboards for Freestyle Love Supreme).
PREREQUISITES : Must have the newest version of Sibelius and GarageBand downloaded prior to the first class. Midi-keyboard and basic piano skills recommended, but not at all required.
All classes are held online! Make sure to secure your copies of software in advance, and prepare to level up and autonomize your at-home auditions.
