It's a myth that singers aren't good at music theory.
Join us for a 6-week "blended" session (both online and in-person) on how music theory the way you wish it had always been taught. By the end of our six weeks together, students will feel more confident in lessons, coachings, and be able to quickly, accurately, and autonomously learn new audition sides.
Students first learn the material independently in our online TheoryWorks courses, and then meet weekly with a TheoryWorks coach one-on-one to review that week's material and assignment over Zoom.
The class culminates with a mock audition class for Broadway music director Andrea Grody (TOOTSIE, THE BAND'S VISIT). Actors will be sent a unique packet of audition music 3 days in advanc, which they will be asked to learn themselves and sing for Andrea as if for an audition appointment.
Schedule:
** Saturday, October 1st: Students are sent logins for the online course and asked to review the first module before the first class on 10/7.
** Thursday, October 6th - November 11th: Weekly class at Spectra Music Studios with Amy Marie Stewart from 5:30 - 7:30pm.
** Friday, November 11th: In person Mock Audition with Andrea Grody from 5:30 - 7:30pm
